Tonight
was all about sex(x).
Well... in many more ways
than one.
I'd
had Japanese class for the first time in six days this lovely friday, but
it wasn't too bad... we did very simple Japanese I fully understood. All
right! I came home, my mom fed me meat, and I got ready to head off to
*annoying train lady voice* Shibuya! I'd mis-read my tickets...
I'm still not very good with military time (0:00~23.59), so I misread "Open
at 18:00" as "Open at 5:00 pm", and ended up waiting along in front of
Shibuya O-East for a good two hours (18:00 is really 6, if you didn't figure
it out), reminiscing about the last time I went - which was solo
live. I eventually got tired of waiting for my friends and decided
to be social - amongst a group of people who hate and ignore me? Well,
I found some people I'd known from before and offered treats - Halloween
candy from America, sent by my mom-mom. I handed them out to a ton of reluctant
Japanese hanging around me. They lightened up and listened to me ranting
a bit, mostly about the recent presidential election. I forgot how we got
on the convo, but they noticed my size 6 gauged ears, one with Iggy still
looped inside, and all gasped and wanted to see. I said my friend had her
lip, eyebrow, and nipple pierced, and they all winced in terror. One said
she thought the tongue was the worst place, and I said I'd seen a tongue
piercing - oh, the blood that came out. The woman who'd mentioned it look
sickened and put her hand over her mouth in mock-gag. We also discussed
English - when I said Kenichi had attempted the "Nice to meet you" at the
last
terrible banquet, they rolled their eyes at how sad he is. Mwuah.
After that we kinda waited
for tickets to start getting called. I then noticed them grabbing each
other's breasts. Yes, just reaching out and grabbing and squeezing. They
were all doing this at the same time. It was some weird, clothed orgy.
One girl in particular would NOT stop feeling up her friend - I watched
as he kept squeezing for five minutes. Five minutes, no exaggerations.
What the hell was going on! Why don't I understand boob-grabbing Japanese!
I took photos of the GIGANTIC
flower display Yohei had given to the whole Max JaMMing crew - this thing
was taller than me. It was ridiculous. I sat down behind it then and waited.
Finally my friends - cosplaying Takanori and Kenichi! showed up, but had
to run in as their ticket number had been called. I went in about ten minutes
later, found them about five feet from the stage on Ken's side, and there
we met with Haruka and jammed down to the waiting-music. I spilled my chirashi
(live ads) all over the floor, and found that there was not only a looooovely
full color glossy page of E-Machine, but an advert for Kuroda too! Oh Iceman....
*small sniff* Then I had more boobariffic moments - my outfit was kinda
oddly designed, and Kaede started randomly groping my chest, saying "I
can't see your boobs! I can't see them!" She looked jealous even. I reign
supreme!
It
began. I won't talk for too long about the three groups that played before
E-machine, since it's boring as hell. The first guy though, was American!
His song was in English, but he'd lived in Japan 14 years and his Japanese
was perfect. He started telling the crowd about how difficult Japanese
is for foreigners to learn and I hopped up and down and waved my arms.
He noticed me and said "Ah, gaijin da!". Haha, this guy's totally turned
Japanese. He had a bunch of apparently famous guests come out (people with
names like... Princess-Princess? I dunno), and they did some pretty good
bouncy hyper songs, ended with Born to Be Wild. Nice. After him was this
little guy with some really rabid fans in crowd. He sat at his keyboard
and played incredibly difficult, incredibly long songs - four of them,
each one seeming more difficult than the last. As he played this difficult
music, he said very fast lyrics that sounded like a story. That
was it! No background track, just him and his keyboard! He didn't say much,
but I was very impressed. After him - well after him, Mizue and Mr. Hirakawa
(Ken manager) came into the DJ corner and started playing some tunes! Then
they started singing rock music from the 80s! Kaede was clawing all over
me at how smooooth Mizue is. He's fuckin awesome, and he had one a white
shirt with black laces and no sunglasses. Mmmmmm. Plus, his hair was almost
totally blond! Whaoo! After he left a band that was like alternate universe
E-machine came out... the guitarist was tall and freaky with sticky up
hair, there was a bald drummer (Sharkie's almost bald, kinda?), a bassist,
and a hyper little black haired singer (but he looked much older, uglier
and sweatier than Yohei, who I don't see sweat at all). They were okay.
The singer really loved cock. No, really. He kept using his guitar, shoving
it between his legs and stroking the long part up and down like he was...
you know. YOU KNOW. I saw Haruka and Kaede turn to each other and gasp
as this guy was mastur......mastur... bating... his guitar. For a long
time. Anyway they left, and the microphone on our side got adjusted to
be two feet taller, and we knew who was next!!
They played their intro,
which is this roughly 3-minute long percussion-laden fast-beat instrumental
song that now, at my third time seeing E-Machine, I've come to know very
well. Sharkie came out first, and I instantly, INSTANTLY noticed his hair.
It's gotten LONG AS HELL! In the first photo ever of E-Machine, his hair
was this tiny stump! Now it's a full blown, gigantic, huge, foot-tall mohawk.
He's just becoming more and more my Sharkie!!! Mizue and Ken were next,
and everyone around me totally EXPLODED more than usual all at Kenichi.
All the build up leading to E-M had really caught up to us. Then Yohei
came out, I actually screamed his name, what a cute pie!! I noticed right
around now that they were all wearing matching red suits with red-and-black
color scheme in general, WHAT THE HELL THAT'S MY FAVOURITE COLOR SCHEME.
Get OUT of town, E-Machine!! Why are you too cool!
Yohei stood there posing
VERY dramatically until the opening song ended. And they began THE
SUPER STAR!! In the way that American kept speaking....
The SUPERSTAREEYAYYYY! Immediately I felt incredibly happy and like rocking
out incredibly hard, because Kenichi, my boy, was fuckin going CRAZY! If
you want a good example of "crazy", and you have these particular videos,
he did the same hyper-bouncing he does in the start of the TV performance
of Edge of the Season, or the music video of Mr. D. He was kicking a lot
more though, and in general the other three, like my very first impression,
seemed kinda dead. Ken, you make your band look bad!
SUPER STAR was great, they
did the strobe lights right before the chorus, god I love that. Next was
Element
- yay, it's their second single, all in a row! Kenichi made really weird,
bug-eyed faces when he sang "Too much bad element!"... like he knew it
was horrible English or something. Ahahaha. Good, good creepy song. Kenichi
switched from Seeker Glimmer Monkey guitar to his weird, creepy shaped
guitar that kind of ends suddenly like the top of the long part got chopped
off. It's also incredibly tiny, his huge hands just help it look even smaller.
Silly Ken. They talked a little after Element... "Endorphin-Machine DEEEEESU,"
from little Yohei the cutiepatootie.Yohei and Mizue chatted back and forth,
THEN the spotlight went on Ken, THEN the place got nutsy. Everybody loves
that former Iceman member. Sigh. He said that he was excited because one
of the people who'd played before E-Machine - I don't recall who - was
someone who's lives he used to go to when he was in high school. He sounded
super happy about this.
They
started playing something next and I thought it was a new song. Ken was
plucking away at his guitar, and only when I heard tiny little "Be yourself..."
voices on the computer track did I realize it was some new opening for
Be
Myself Be Yourself. I've actually grown to love this song
an incredibly large amount. Next - finally and at long last, my sweet baby
song, 1~10 Your dream countdown!!!
How I love this song. There is a dance we all do to it. Kinda.
In the opening, with the
hard drum beats, you shake your fist to the lyrics:
"1 2 3 4 5, 6 7 8, 9 10
your dream COUNT DOWN!" (count down)
"1 2 3 4 5, 6 7 8, 9 10
your beat ALL RIGHT!" (all right)
Then the music comes in
hard and you BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE to the same lyrics as he sings
them again!!! You must BOUNCE! And bounce and rock and bouncebounce. Here
Yohei grabbed his mic and spun in circles, making it swirl around his legs,
how graceful an angel is he! A little cutiepatootie!!
Oh,
the sex act by SEXX - as if I hadn't had enough phallic suggestion and
boob grabbing all night - at one point when Kenichi was almost on his knees,
on the left side of the stage, jamming down with his legs spread wide open
- Mizue came up behind him and shoved the long part of his guitar between
Ken's legs, making it jut out like... you know... a big long ...winkle.
Ken looked positively scandalized. And hey, it was damned scandalous!!!
They had some more little
talks. Ken was basically as such:
Ken: We have a live next
week, on November 12th, so come then!
Us: ....?????
Yohei: It's on the thirteenth...
Ken: Oh uh.. yeah, the thirteenth!
*turning kinda pink*
Yohei: And the next live
is November 20th.
Us: Ooooooooooooooh. (in
our heads: "That's Ken's birthday!!!")
Ken: Yeah, November 20th.
The
last song was at hand. Yohei said it would be their Christmas song. Yay!
Aw, it's so sweet they have a silly Christmas song. We all kinda EEEEH'd
as usual... and Ken was like, "What! Go to the live next week!" and Kaede
yelled "I CAN'T go!" and Ken went "You can't go?!" And Kaede got all blushy
and giggly. Silly pie. They did 1224
as their happy finale. Now, I'm sure this will be released as a single
or on an album around Christmastime... let's see if I am right. Until then,
I quickly jotted down what I think is the Engrish for this cute song...
"I feel you in my dream again, I miss you sharing Christmas Eve, I know
we'll never chance again, I miss you sharing Christmas, every Christmas
Eve." D'awwwww, so cuuute. And stuff.
They finished up and headed
off. Goodbye dudes! Sharkie didn't say DA!! Probably because a lot of the
place was filled by fans of other bands and thus only half would understand
it. Bye bye E-Machine! Until next week! Except that Mizue came back out
to jam down in the DJ box with the American dude. You guys rock rock on
hard!
For various reasons, most
of them being that 1) I'd fallen down my stairs again that morning and
hurt my legs and arm, so I was tired out, 2) I wanted my 5 dollar drink
(cover charge at every live), and 3) I'm a fucking JERK, we picked up out
stuff and hauled ass as the last band started. The singer looked cute but
eh. No love. I'm a jackass. We went to hang out by my old conbini next
to Shibuya O-West (right across from East), took many photos, discussed
Takanori, got cute Ken + Takanori photos, and exchanged money for cell
phone bills... ;;;;;;;;;;. We took some hot purikuras and set off home.
Off to E-Machine again next
week in Osaka, once more! Then it's E-Machine again in two weeks! November
is E-Machine month! Well, we've actually declared it Daisuke month, but
how about an exception this year?
